<learn:art> <the game of life>, also known simply as life, is a board game originally created in 1960 by Milton Bradley as The Checkered Game of Life, the first ever board game for his own company, the Milton Bradley Company. The game simulates a person's travels through their life, from early adulthood to retirement, with college if chosen, jobs, marriage, and possible children along the way.
early versions of the boar game resembled a modified checkerboard, with the object being to land on "good" spaces to collect points by reaching spaces representing various life stages or outcomes, such as "Happy Old Age", "Infancy", "Suicide", “Day of Reckoning", and "Millionaire Acres," The mention of one of these outcomes, the <poor farm>, in an early television commercial, is the source of the recurring sample heard throughout the song.
